Welcome to the Vermont Criminal Conviction Record Internet Service (VCCRIS), provided by the Vermont Crime Information Center (VCIC). VCIC is a division of the Vermont Department of Public Safety.
This service allows users to purchase criminal conviction records from the Vermont Crime Information Center. A criminal conviction record is a record of conviction in a Vermont district court. You cannot obtain a certified copy from this site – for further information click on this link http://vcic.vermont.gov/ch-information/record-checks/vermont/my-own
Please note you will also need to submit your request in writing as noted above in order to receive a certified copy that includes docket number information. The online version of a conviction report may not include that specific information.
Criminal Conviction History Records cost $30 per request. Non-refundable charges apply whether the check returns a record or returns a "record not found" result. Therefore, we encourage you to be careful when entering the information identifying the person for whom you are requesting the record.
Results are returned instantaneously, giving you the ability to view, save, and print a Criminal Conviction Record immediately after requesting it. A sample record and A sample NO record are available for viewing.
If you are a vulnerable populations agency, an educational agency, or a Vermont.gov subscriber, login at the upper right of the screen.
Any Criminal Conviction Record purchased through this service can be verified through the Vermont Crime Information Center at no cost by entering the validation code through the Online Validation Service.
If you believe there is an error in a previously requested Criminal Conviction record, you may report the error to the Vermont Crime Information Center by using Report a Record Error Service.
